South Africa

Africa's Most Diverse Safari Destination

South Africa is Africa’s most diverse safari destination, offering world-class wildlife, extraordinary landscapes, celebrated cuisine and wine, and two of the continent’s most iconic cities — all within a single country. Its exceptional infrastructure, no-malaria game reserves and huge variety of experiences make it the natural entry point for first-time visitors to Africa, while its depth and breadth reward those returning again and again.

When to Travel

DRY SEASON
The Kruger region is best visited May to September when game viewing is most concentrated and the bush is thinner. Visibility is excellent and wildlife gathers at water sources.

GREEN / WET SEASON
The Cape is a year-round destination. Summer from November to March brings hot weather and wildflowers, while winter from June to August is prime whale watching season. The Garden Route is excellent in any season.
